Last Post from Colorado

Ahhh, my house doesn't look like my house anymore with most rooms full of boxes and no decorations.  Our moving truck comes on Wednesday but we don't actually leave to Ohio until Friday.  The weeks of being in transition is one of the many things I hate about moving.  Thank goodness Karla is flying out on Wednesday to drive with me and the kids.  I can't believe she agreed but THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!  There is no way I could do it with out you!

Saying good-bye to the Springs is going to be HARD!

In the past two years we have become good friends with Connie, one of the hygienists from Spencer's office, and her family.  We always seem to have first time experiences with them.  This weekend it was watching Connie's Brother, Cary and her Father, Von in a tractor pulling contest.  Both of them took first place in a category.  Cary gave Kayla one of his trophies, she said it was one of her favorite days ever.  Evan couldn't get enough of the tractors.   Thanks for the good times Bench Family! We will miss you!

We had a fun Saturday in Old Colorado City for Territory Day, nice name, right ... I have heard of Peach Days, Cherry Days, but Territory days is definitely a new one for me.

Last weekend Brent and Laurie took us to the Cliffhouse for a going away date... don't know how we are going to function with-out you guys!  We have already been missing them since they left to Utah last week.

Well, I believe the next time I post anything it will be back at OHIO's C-bus!  

Wish us luck!  Can't wait for the drive to be over.

DAY AT THE ZOO

I don't know if you can tell, when it comes to the writing part of blogging... it just isn't my favorite part.  I could spend way too much time trying to figure out what to write, but I don't.  It is the reason behind my pathetic entries.  Just a little FYI;)

Anyway, we tagged along with Laurie for her little girl, Sienna, preschools field trip to the zoo.  I have only been to the zoo here one other time, it was fun to go again.  Avery and Evan had a ball in the play area.

We made it home from Mexico last night, today it is snowing here in Colorado... I am already missing the beach!

Our move to Ohio is creeping up on me and the stress is following it,

trying to find a house to rent, packing the house, and so on.

I wanted to post a few pictures of our 

family festivities of the last month before I get too overwhelmed.

Spencer's parents (my fantastic in-laws) fly here Monday 

and Spencer and I fly to Mexico Wednesday 

for our much needed ADULT ONLY vacation.

for two more years of school.)  

I think every parent needs an adult vacation every two years at least, right?

My April Fools Day Baby is ONE!

Evan is ONE!  When we went to the YMCA today Avery was telling all the teachers it was her brothers birthday and their reply was, "is it really or are you saying that because it is April Fools Day?"  I have a feeling Evan will deal with this the rest of his life. 

 I am so grateful for my little boy!  He brings such joy to our family.  We felt pretty lucky to get to celebrate Evan's and Kayla's birthday at Grandma & Grandpa Elmore's house on Sunday.  Evan loved playing in his cupcake... he made a HUGE mess.
