2012

What is this picture you wonder?
It is what has been taking up three days a week of my life,
for the past six and a half weeks.

I have been assisting Spencer with root canals
while one of the assistant's at his office has been on bed rest & now has started maternity leave.
Good thing I have fabulous assisting skills from years ago... or maybe not that great.
Either way it has been fun to see my hubby at work three days a week,
working his sweet skills that took eight years of his (or rather our) life to master.

Here are the highlights of 2012 so far...
Which really means all the pictures I have
taken on my phone, since I have gotten extremely lazy
about talking my camera anywhere.

Evan started preschool...

We bought our first family pets...
I don't know how it really happened,
one day we were talking about guinea pigs, then the next thing I know Spencer is looking up info. everyday about them. And before I knew it he had built a cage and buying all the stuff to get guinea pigs. We didn't even wait to get the cheaper ones off craigslist. We went straight to Petco and paid way too much for them. But we do love them. We named them Stella & Lola.
I only had good pictures of Stella,
so both pictures are of her.

Avery seems to keep loosing teeth...

a new year
another birthday...
I think my face says it all,
am I happy or giving a crusty?

We made a family trip back to
OHIO...
Thanks to Brittney we had a place to
stay & great food to eat!
Oh, and great company!!!
Baby Reese is what brought us all together.
She was the perfect reason for Angie to fly out from California
and me to come from St. Louis.
Congrats Leah, on your fourth beautiful girl!
I was so happy we got to stop by our old
neighbors house and see the darling boys I use to take care.
Spencer and I also got to celebrate our friend Brett's
30th birthday eating at Fish Market & then enjoying
the music at The Big Bang, piano bar.
It was a weekend of great friends, food, & shopping.
What else can I say...
love all these girls!

Sporting events with Pat & Shelly...
Shelly is the Endodontist that Spencer works with,
her hubby is actually one too.
Though I am not in their club they are all pretty nice to me.
They couldn't be more fun to hang out with.

VALENTINES WITH COUSINS...
We ate at a Italian Store with a deli. Different but good.

Christmas 2011

Christmas Eve:
New PJ's at cousins house
After Spencer found the girls watching TV at
4 o'clock in the morning,
they said they were waiting for us to get up,
we realized we need to set some rules
about what time they can get out of bed
for next year.
Spencer had them go back to bed
until we were ready to get up...
I think it was around 8 o'clock.
Oh the excitement of Christmas morning!

How many lights to see...

Tonight we went to The St. Louis Zoo to see Wild lights. I was pleasantly surprised by their display of light up animals and Christmas lights I hadn't seen before. We even got to see some creepy bugs & really stinky penguins.

After months and months of asking and begging,
Kayla's wish came true.
Uncle Rich put braces on her!!!!!
She is lucky to have
be her Uncle.

Gingerbread Chaos

Sunday we had our annual gingerbread decorating night. The tradition started over 10 years ago with Spencer's side of the family when we lived in Utah. Though we have continued it on living away we no longer make the houses ourself. This year was great to have grandpa McDermott here as well as cousins.

Christmas Tradition 2011

St. Charles Christmas Tradition is quickly becoming one of our family's new Christmas traditions. Last year while visiting St. Louis during Thanksgiving we went with my parents and Rich's family. Now that we live close by I am sure we enjoy it each year.
Yesterday my Dad flew in for the weekend
and we started the visit here...
